How Final Roadmap End of Life Planning Works

Final Roadmap® works as a web-based guide and toolkit focused on end of life issues. It is straightforward as well as comprehensive, with sections for Medical Care*, Legal & Financial*, Physical Death, Visitation & Services, Messages for Loved Ones after Death and Notifications. The concept is to allow end of life to be approached privately, simply and with total security.  A person buys Final Roadmap once and keeps it forever, changing it as much and often as he or she desires and communicating wishes securely with others should he or she choose to do so.

Think about Final Roadmap® as a secure, virtual vault with six Sections containing numerous forms. All material is encrypted and securely stored by americaneagle.com.

Purchasing a finalroadmap.com Membership encourages you to consider your wishes and allows you to communicate them to your loved ones. A Membership gives you a personal digital vault, over which you have total control.  Each Section contains questions for you to consider*.  Answering, or even contemplating, these questions will help you prepare for the time when you are unable to speak for yourself including after your death. You will have the ability to update your Toolkit as often as you please, adding or deleting whenever you wish over your lifetime. You will be capable of communicating any or all components to others securely and with confidence. You may also upload documents, videos or pictures. Everything you enter into your Final Roadmap® is encrypted, including the documents you upload.

As a Member, you will have the ability to allow others (Designees) to visit your Toolkit.  A Designee is simply someone you designate/allow to have access to one or more of the components of your Final Roadmap. You can have multiple Designees and they can include anyone you choose, for example loved ones and/or professional advisors (e.g. medical professionals, attorneys). Designees may view, but not change, the items to which you permit access.  As a Final Roadmap Member® you will have full command over which specific items each Designee is able to view within each Section.

For example:

You want your spouse to view everything. You then make him or her a Designee with full access - the ability to read anything in the vault.

Or, you want your attorney to be able to view the Legal & Financial* Section.  You then make him or her a Designee with access to only that Section.

Or, you want a favorite niece to read something that you wrote for your funeral.  You then make her a Designee with access to only that element in the Wishes for My Funeral Subsection of the Visitations/Services/Remains Section.

You can have zero Designees or as many as you desire. We do recommend that you assign at least one to trigger your Messages for Loved Ones after Death and Notifications.

Again, Designees will be unable to change or delete any of your contents, they can only view.  Furthermore every time a Designee visits your Toolkit you will receive an email informing you of his or her visit.

Final Roadmap’s mission is for you to consider, document and share your end of life wishes. This can help give you, your family, friends and loved ones clarity and peace of mind during difficult times. That may be the most important function of Final Roadmap® for you and your loved ones.
